What is the GTA 6 Dazed magazine issue?
The GTA 6 Dazed magazine issue is the autumn 2026 edition of Dazed, the London fashion and culture title, which put Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos on one of its covers and ran a long Rockstar interview inside. Dazed's shop page and Dazed's own September 22 event write-up call it the New Idols issue, and the shop lists a GTA cover option at 7.99 pounds, as read on October 9, 2026. The print magazine went on sale internationally on September 10, 2026, according to Dazed's own article page.
This is older news. VI Cheats is covering it now because the interview is one of the few places Rockstar staff have spoken on the record about the game. Everything below comes from Dazed's pages, the shop page they link to, and VICE's August 26 write-up of the interview, all read on October 9.
VI Cheats is independent and not affiliated with Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or Dazed.
When did Dazed publish the GTA 6 cover story?
Dazed's GTA cover story was online by August 26, 2026. VICE published a write-up of the interview that day, under Brent Koepp's byline, crediting the details to a new interview with Dazed. That was the day before Rockstar's Extended Look premiered on Netflix on August 27, as Variety reported; see the GTA 6 Extended Look recap for that footage.
Dazed's own article page, written by Thom Waite, shows a September 6, 2026 date as read today, so the page stamp and the day the story went online differ. Other Dazed cover stories from the same autumn issue carry an August 28, 2026 stamp, and each closes with the same line as the GTA piece: the issue is on sale internationally from September 10. That print date is the one this article uses for the magazine itself.
Dating matters because the game's publicity ran thick in late summer, and readers mix the Dazed images up with Game Informer's September cover. Game Informer's feature is a separate magazine with its own screenshots and reporting; see Game Informer's GTA 6 cover story for that one.
Who did Dazed interview at Rockstar?
Dazed lists six people on the record.
- Rob Nelson, head of development at Rockstar North.
- Rupert Humphries, senior vice president of narrative at Rockstar.
- Stu Petri, vice president of 2D/UI design.
- Michael Wiafe, a GTA VI game writer.
- Jamie-Lee Lloyd, senior art director for characters.
- Jillian Carr, a Miami-based stylist who Dazed says has worked with Rockstar since 2023.
Dazed's title for Nelson also adds co-studio head. Other coverage of Nelson uses head of development alone, and so does this site.
Two lines stand out. Nelson, on the expectations around the game: "All we want to do is deliver for our audience." Humphries describes the story as "a Bonnie and Clyde-type narrative" built around two leads who are a couple. Those are the only lines quoted here; the full text belongs to Dazed.
What does the Dazed interview say about Jason and Lucia?
Dazed describes Jason as a former soldier who runs drugs and Lucia as a fighter who has just left prison. The Bonnie and Clyde framing matches what Rockstar's trailers showed: a pair, not a lone lead. Dazed also calls Lucia the first fully developed female lead in a mainline GTA game.
The piece spends time on how the characters were built. Humphries talks about research that included meeting former criminals, law enforcement, club promoters and gun dealers. Lloyd covers character art and Carr covers clothes. Dazed's picture captions credit Stock 305 clothes and glasses for Lucia, Nola clothes and glasses for Jason and a Ferruccio Tucci watch. Those are fictional in-game brands, not real labels.
Nelson's section covers the pressure on the team and the scale of the studio. Dazed states that the Rockstar team has more than doubled in size since Red Dead Redemption 2 shipped. For every named character, see the GTA 6 characters list.
What new GTA 6 screenshots came with the Dazed issue?
Seven images, credited to Rockstar Games. Dazed's gallery is titled GTA VI, The Autumn 2026 Issue. The pictures show Lucia, Jason, Boobie Ike, Bae-Luxe, Raul Bautista and Roxy, posed and styled rather than mid-mission, with no gunfights and no car chases in frame.
They are not gameplay footage, and they carry no interface. Dazed's text describes in-game scenes and trailer cutscenes alongside them, but the stills read as portraits. Anyone looking for mechanics should read the GTA 6 gameplay details from previews instead.
How does Dazed sell the GTA 6 issue and what does it cost?
Dazed's article and its issue page both link to a product page on Boutique Galleria, the shop Dazed links to for copies. Read on October 9, 2026, that page lists:
- Product: Dazed Magazine, Autumn 2026, described as the New Idols issue.
- Price: 7.99 pounds sterling, which the page also gives as the UK cover price.
- A GTA cover among the cover options.
- A note that pre-orders sold out instantly and that a limited re-run of physical copies was due to ship at the beginning of October.
- An Add to cart button, with no sold-out label on it at the time of reading.
Stock can change by the hour, so treat that as a snapshot. VI Cheats does not track resale listings and will not print resale prices.
Fan sites reported that print copies carry a sticker sheet with Vice City designs. Neither Dazed's article nor its shop page, read today, mentions stickers, so this site does not list them as confirmed. Ask the seller about the stickers before buying.
Is a magazine interview the same as a feature announcement?
No. A quote in Dazed is a Rockstar employee describing the game to a journalist, published by Dazed. It is not a Rockstar Newswire post, not a patch note and not a product listing. Rockstar's confirmed facts about the game are short: release on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, a 79.99 USD Standard Edition and a 99.99 USD Ultimate Edition, pre-load from November 12. See the GTA 6 release date page for the dated record. The rest of the Dazed piece is description from the people making the game, not a dated commitment from Rockstar.
That applies to cheats too. Dazed's interview says nothing about cheat codes, and Rockstar has published nothing about cheats in GTA VI. VI Cheats has verified no GTA VI code. The GTA 6 cheats hub lists what is confirmed, which today is nothing.
Is the GTA 6 Dazed magazine still available?
As of October 9, 2026, the Boutique Galleria product page Dazed links to showed the Autumn 2026 issue at 7.99 pounds with a GTA cover option and an Add to cart button, after a limited re-run. Pre-orders had sold out, per the same page. Check the page yourself before paying, since stock moves fast.
Who is on the cover of the Dazed GTA 6 issue?
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the two playable leads of GTA VI. The autumn 2026 issue has several covers with different stars; the GTA cover is one option among them.
Did Dazed reveal any GTA 6 cheat codes?
No. The Dazed interview covers story, characters, art and clothing. Nothing in it concerns cheats, and Rockstar has not published any cheat for GTA VI anywhere.
Is Rob Nelson's Dazed interview the same as his IGN interview?
No. IGN published its own Nelson interview on October 7, 2026, recorded in July during hands-on play. Dazed's piece is a separate conversation with six Rockstar-side names, online by August 26 and in print from September 10.
