Rockstar Games has published bios for exactly eight characters on its official Grand Theft Auto VI site: Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Almost every other GTA 6 characters list you will find runs longer than that, and the extra names do not come from Rockstar.
Those bios went up alongside Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025, in the Only in Leonida section of rockstargames.com/VI. The page still carries those eight profiles and no more, checked September 16, 2026.
How many GTA 6 characters has Rockstar actually named?
Eight profiles. Eleven people.
The gap matters. Seven of the eight profiles cover one person each. One covers a duo: Real Dimez is Bae-Luxe and Roxy, and Rockstar names both inside that single bio. Two more people are named on the page without profiles of their own. The Brian Heder profile calls Lori his third wife. The Real Dimez profile credits the duo's first break to a track with a local rapper, DWNPLY. Neither has a portrait, but both are on the page in Rockstar's own words.
So eight portraits, eleven names printed by Rockstar. Both counts are defensible as long as you say which one you are using. Neither is 26.
Who are Jason and Lucia?
Jason Duval grew up around grifters and crooks, did a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, and ended up in the Keys working for local drug runners. Rockstar frames him as a man who wants an easy life and keeps not getting one. His bio says meeting Lucia could be the best or the worst thing that ever happened to him.
Lucia Caminos was taught to fight by her father before she could properly walk. Fighting for her family put her in Leonida Penitentiary, and Rockstar credits her release to luck. She wants the good life her mother kept talking about, and her bio says a life with Jason could be her way out. What the page does not give her is an age, a voice credit, or any plain statement of what she and Jason are to each other.
Who is in the GTA 6 supporting cast?
Six profiles cover the rest, and they hang together more than a roll call suggests.
Cal Hampton is Jason's friend and another of Brian Heder's associates. Rockstar's sketch keeps him at home, a few beers in, eavesdropping on Coast Guard radio and browsing privately. His tagline asks what the world would look like if everything on the internet were true.
Boobie Ike turned his time in the streets into a legitimate empire covering real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Rockstar's page calls him a local Vice City legend.
Dre'Quan Priest dealt on the street to make ends meet but was always more hustler than gangster. Music was the goal the whole time. He runs Only Raw Records. His bio also ties back to Boobie's: Dre'Quan has been booking acts into that strip club, and Rockstar suggests that signing Real Dimez may put an end to it.
Real Dimez is Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school, who turned shaking down local dealers into rap tracks and a relentless social media presence. Rockstar's bio credits their first break to a track with a local rapper, DWNPLY, and puts them five years and a lot of trouble later at Only Raw Records. That single bio carries three names.
Raul Bautista robs banks, and has been at it long enough that Rockstar's write-up is mostly about his confidence and his eye for talent willing to take the risks that pay most. The page does not say who that talent is.
Brian Heder is a drug runner left over from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys, still moving product through his boat yard with Lori. He employs Jason and houses him.
That is every profile Rockstar has published. Two more people, Lori and DWNPLY, are named inside those bios and nowhere else on the page.
Why does the best-known list say 26?
Because a roll call can hold three different kinds of name at once, and only some lists say which is which.
The first kind is Rockstar's published bios, the eight above. The second comes out of the September 2022 network intrusion at Rockstar, when early development footage went public; Rockstar confirmed the breach on September 19, 2022. Names circulating from that material cannot be checked against anything Rockstar has published, Rockstar has never presented one of them as cast, and a leaked string is not an announcement. The third kind is plain speculation, usually returning faces from older games that people would like to see again.
GTA Intel's list stood at 26 entries when I checked it on September 16, 2026, and it does label them, separating Rockstar's bios from names taken from the 2022 leak and from names it marks as rumoured. Its heading is less careful and calls all 26 confirmed. Where the labels are missing altogether, a reader has no way to tell which names Rockstar stands behind and which came out of a stolen video file.
We keep those categories apart for the same reason we keep them apart on codes. The GTA V cheat code reference page badges every entry on it as GTA V material that is unverified for GTA VI, and the guide to how VI Cheats labels and verifies references sets out the four status labels behind that. A name from a leaked build is not a confirmed cast member, however many lists print it in the same column as one.
What has Rockstar not published about the cast?
No ages. No voice credits. No relationship chart.
The character page gives each entry a short paragraph and a tagline, then stops. It does not say how old Jason is. It does not credit a single performer. It does not state in so many words that Jason and Lucia are a couple; the Bonnie and Clyde comparison that follows them around is press interpretation, widely repeated, but not a sentence Rockstar printed.
Ages and actor names circulating for this cast came from somewhere other than Rockstar's character page.
How do you check a GTA 6 characters list yourself?
Open rockstargames.com/VI, go to the Only in Leonida section, count the profiles. That is the whole method and it takes about a minute.
If a list carries names that are not there, the burden sits on that list to say where they came from. A list that says where each name came from is doing the work. One that does not is asking you to guess.
The same scarcity runs through everything Rockstar has published about this game. On the day I counted those profiles, the official game page listed "Coming November 19, 2026" with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, and the breakdown of the GTA VI release date and platforms covers what is and is not listed there. Rockstar has given the public eight bios, one date and two platforms. The lists that run longer are filling that space with names Rockstar has not published.
How many characters are in GTA 6?
Rockstar has published bios for eight. That is a different question from how many the finished game contains, which nobody outside Rockstar can answer. Eight is the number with official profiles as of September 16, 2026.
Who are the two main characters in GTA 6?
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar's site builds the story around the pair and gives them the two longest bios on the character page. Each bio points at the other: his says she could be the best or the worst thing ever to happen to him, hers says a life with him could be her way out.
Is Lucia's full name Lucia Caminos?
Yes, and Jason's is Jason Duval. Rockstar's character page prints both surnames. The other six profiles are headed Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder.
Are there confirmed GTA 6 voice actors?
Not on Rockstar's character page. It runs bios and taglines with no performer credits at all. Any casting name attached to this game came from somewhere else, so find out where before passing it on.
Will Rockstar announce more GTA 6 characters before launch?
Rockstar has not said. It added these eight with Trailer 2 and has announced nothing about further character reveals either way.
