What is the GTA 6 Miami Heat Vice City night?
The GTA 6 Miami Heat event is "A Night in Vice City", a Heat home game against the Milwaukee Bucks at Kaseya Center on November 18, 2026, the night before Grand Theft Auto VI launches. ESPN and WSVN both reported the partnership with Rockstar Games on October 2, 2026, and the Heat's own event page carries the details.
None of this is game information. A themed basketball court tells you nothing about missions, the map or what the game contains. It says nothing about cheats either, and our GTA 6 cheats status page tracks that question separately.
What did ESPN and WSVN report about the Heat game?
ESPN reported that the night will feature a special Vice-themed court and an all-new uniform, which it described as a reimagined edition of the team's popular alternate uniforms. ESPN also said the game will be broadcast on ESPN. According to ESPN, the team said it would share more information "in the coming weeks in coordination with Rockstar Games."
WSVN's report, also dated October 2, lists four elements:
- a special court
- never-before-worn special edition uniforms
- game-night programming and live activations inspired by the game
- a new Vice City collection from the Heat's Court Culture clothing line, sold at Miami Heat Store locations and online
Kotaku, the same day, said the game will air live on ESPN and that one shirt in the collection had already sold out. Nobody has shown the uniforms yet. The Heat's page says details are held back until an official reveal.
What time does the GTA 6 Miami Heat game start?
The Heat's official event page, read on October 8, 2026, lists tip-off at 7:00 PM Eastern on November 18. Siliconera reported the same 7pm ET time on October 2. The same Heat page lists three broadcast outlets: ESPN, WPLG Local 10 and FM 104.3 WQAM.
That is roughly a day before the game itself unlocks. Rockstar set the release for November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Our GTA 6 release date page holds the sourced timeline, including pre-orders and the pre-load window.
We found no established outlet giving a start date for the in-arena programming, so we have not printed one.
What is the Welcome to Vice City sign on Kaseya Center?
It is a large rooftop sign reading "Welcome to Vice City". WSVN reported on September 23, 2026, that crews mounted it on the roof of the downtown Miami arena that Tuesday, as part of a wider campaign tied to Grand Theft Auto VI. ESPN later noted that the team lit the signage up as part of the promotion.
How much is Rockstar paying Miami-Dade for the rooftop sign?
WLRN reported on September 18, 2026, that Miami-Dade County struck "an almost million-dollar marketing deal" for the sign. According to WLRN, the county mayor signed it under delegated authority to approve contracts below $1 million without a board vote. Some county commissioners objected to that process. WLRN said the money would go toward developing county land behind the arena that has long been promised for community use, such as a park.
Several outlets have put the exact figure at $975,000, citing the Miami Herald. We could not read the Herald's report ourselves. Treat that number as reported, not confirmed by us.
How long the sign stays up is also unclear to us. Some coverage gives an end date, but we found no named established outlet quoting the county on it, so we have left the duration out.
Did Miami Beach vote to put Vice City branding on beach chairs?
Yes, narrowly. WSVN reported that Miami Beach commissioners voted 4-3 on September 10, 2026, on a GTA VI marketing partnership valued at about $3 million, with the money meant for resident amenities. Insider Gaming, citing Eurogamer, described the vote on September 11 as approval to negotiate the deal. In that account the campaign would run from October 15 through the end of the year, on beach chairs and umbrellas, using Vice City imagery rather than the full franchise name.
Insider Gaming also reported Rockstar's expected payment as $3 million, with the city aiming for about $4 million in total benefits. Those two numbers are not the same measure: one is a cash payment, the other a wider benefits package. They do not contradict each other.
We found no fetched report, as of October 8, confirming a signed final contract or giving the exact fee in it.
How is this different from the Hotel Figueroa mural?
