No PS5 cheat code for Grand Theft Auto VI has ever been published. Every GTA 6 cheats PS5 list currently online was written before the game shipped, so every entry on it was either invented or lifted out of Grand Theft Auto V and relabelled.
Half of the question does have a firm answer. The platform is settled. Rockstar's official game page at rockstargames.com/VI, checked September 16, 2026, lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, with PS5 carrying a "Plays Best On" flag. The other half is empty. Rockstar has published nothing about cheats in this game, on PS5 or anywhere else.
Are there GTA 6 cheats for PS5 right now?
No. As of September 16, 2026, Rockstar Games has never said anything about cheats in Grand Theft Auto VI. The official game page has no cheats section. The Rockstar Newswire has run GTA VI posts from Trailer 1 in December 2023 through the Extended Look on August 27, 2026, and none mention cheats. The Rockstar Support knowledge base for GTA VI is four articles - platforms and editions, pre-order details, GTA+ redemption and a pre-order purchase FAQ - and none mention cheats either. A site-restricted search of Rockstar Support for GTA VI cheats returns the GTA V article and nothing else.
That is an absence, not a denial. Rockstar has not said GTA VI will have cheats. It has also not said it will not. Anyone who tells you either way is guessing.
What Rockstar has confirmed about the PS5 version
The platform list is short and it has not moved. Rockstar Support's article "Grand Theft Auto VI Platforms, Editions, and Versions", last updated August 18, 2026, answers the platform question in one line, naming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S as the two platforms the game can be pre-ordered for. Take-Two's press release of June 24, 2026 names "the PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems" and puts the Standard Edition at $79.99. The date on rockstargames.com/VI, checked September 16, 2026, was still November 19, 2026. We went through the dated sources for that in what Rockstar currently lists for the release date.
A PS5 owner knows the console, the date and the price. Nothing about cheats has a source behind it at all.
What entering a GTA V cheat on a DualSense actually involves
This part you can test today, because Grand Theft Auto V runs natively on PS5. Rockstar's Newswire post announcing GTAV and GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S set that release for March 15, 2022.
In GTA V, console cheats are button runs entered during gameplay, not typed into a menu. You enter the run of buttons on the pad and the effect fires, or it does not. PC Gamer's GTA V cheat guide, last updated July 1, 2026, lists a PlayStation sequence and an Xbox sequence for most effects. A few have no button run at all and are dialled on the in-game phone instead, on every platform. Our own GTA V cheat reference with PlayStation and Xbox sequences carries twenty of them, every single one badged as GTA V.
The buttons GTA V asks for are the ones Sony's own DualSense part-names page calls the action buttons and the directional buttons, plus L1, L2, R1 and R2. All of them are on the pad in your hands, and nothing about the DualSense gets in the way of a GTA V sequence.
The consequence is documented by Rockstar itself, for GTA V and only for GTA V. The support article "Information about saving and achievements while using GTA V cheat codes", last updated April 28, 2024, says: "Saving is allowed when cheat codes are enabled but achievements are temporarily disabled." On PlayStation those are trophies. The same article adds that "Reloading a save or rebooting the console will reset all cheats and return the game to its previous state."
None of that is a GTA VI statement. It describes a GTA V save on a PS5.
Can the DualSense hardware itself be part of a cheat code?
Haptic feedback is an output. The pad buzzes and pushes back at you, and you cannot press a rumble, so it cannot be a step in a code you enter. The adaptive triggers are a different case and worth separating. L2 and R2 are ordinary buttons, and GTA V's sequences already use them. The adaptive part is only the resistance the trigger pushes back with, which is something a game does to you rather than an input you can give it.
The touch pad and the create button are real inputs. None of the GTA V sequences PC Gamer documents uses either one, and neither appears in the GTA IV or San Andreas entry methods GTA Wiki records. Whether Grand Theft Auto VI uses them is unknown, like everything else here. The DualSense does more than the pads before it. None of that changes what pressing a cheat sequence looks like.
Why the GTA 6 cheats PS5 lists you find are invented
Search this and you get tables: button runs, effect names, sorted by platform, often headlined as confirmed. Some are straighter than others. GTA BOOM's page puts the count of confirmed GTA 6 cheat codes at zero (read September 17, 2026). Elsewhere a disclaimer sits at the top of the page and a speculative code list sits directly under it, which is one page doing both jobs at once. Other pages skip the disclaimer and run a headline that calls the codes confirmed.
There is no way a real code could be public yet. The game has not shipped, and nobody outside Rockstar has played it. Even the most famous code in the series, HESOYAM, which gave armor, health and $250,000 in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, was found by players after release; GTA Wiki notes Rockstar never gave those codes in any guide and the game executable did not contain them.
Bad information is not the worst of it. Malwarebytes documented a fake GTA VI page on September 1, 2026 that wrapped a crypto wallet drainer in accurate facts, correct date and correct platforms, as camouflage. McAfee's gaming-scam roundup of August 12, 2026 lists "Cheats, mods, and trainers" as a standing bait category and advises avoiding executable files from unknown sources. We do not link to, host or recommend any of that. If a cheat page wants you to download a file for a console game, close it.
What a PS5 owner can usefully do before November 19
Play GTA V on the PS5 and learn its sequences there, knowing they belong to GTA V. Read how we label claims in our guide to the four status labels. Ignore the money-cheat pages; we took those apart in what can be verified about a GTA 6 money cheat.
Then wait. Nothing about a cheat input in Grand Theft Auto VI on PS5 can be checked before the game is in players' hands on November 19, 2026, if there turns out to be anything to check.
Questions people ask about GTA 6 cheats PS5
Will GTA 6 have cheats on PS5?
Unknown. Rockstar has published nothing either way, checked September 16, 2026. Pages that call cheats a near-certainty are reasoning from San Andreas, GTA IV and GTA V, which is a pattern rather than a source. We will not print a cheat as expected when nobody has confirmed one.
Do GTA 5 cheat codes still work on a PS5?
In Grand Theft Auto V, yes. The PS5 version of GTA V released March 15, 2022, and the PlayStation sequences PC Gamer documents are entered on the DualSense as ordinary button presses. That tells you nothing about Grand Theft Auto VI.
Is the PS5 getting GTA 6 on launch day?
Yes. PlayStation 5 is one of the two announced platforms, with Xbox Series X and S, for November 19, 2026, per rockstargames.com/VI and the Rockstar Support platforms article, both checked September 16, 2026.
If GTA 6 has cheats on PS5, where would verified inputs come from?
Rockstar has not said the game has any. If it ships with some, they would come from players finding them after launch, and from Rockstar if it publishes anything. Nothing can be verified before then. Until something is, our reference page stays labelled GTA V, and we explain that choice in why our cheat list is labelled GTA V.
