Which GTA 6 radio stations has Rockstar confirmed?

Six. Rockstar Games added a Music page to the official Grand Theft Auto VI site on October 8, 2026, and it names six in-game radio stations with their hosts and a handful of sample tracks you can preview. It is the first official station list of any kind. The page calls them hand-picked stations; Kotaku and VICE both reported on October 8 that they are not all of them. We read the page on October 9, 2026.

The six stations are Cocoteo, Back Country, Afro Bank FM, The Chamber, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics. Below: what the page says, what Kotaku added the same day, and what nobody has filled in.

What does Rockstar's Music page say about each station?

The page gives each station one or two lines and a pair of named hosts. We have kept to those lines and not added anything from leaks.

  • Cocoteo: modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata.
  • Back Country: country, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne. The page's own tag is renegade country.
  • Afro Bank FM: amapiano, African classics and 3-step, hosted by Burna and Palmsy.
  • The Chamber: metal. The page says it has landed in Leonida and invites you into the pit with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
  • Flash FM: pop, hosted by Robyn and Alex. The page calls it a Vice City institution, which is a nod to the Flash FM that played in GTA Vice City in 2002.
  • Dirty South Classics: regional rap and hip-hop classics, hosted by Trick and Trina.

Two phrases on the page matter more than the station blurbs. Rockstar says the selection spans stations "from Classic Rock to Talk Radio", so there is a classic rock station and a talk station that the page has not yet named. It also describes the game as having "in-game radio and podcasts".

The page also carries a "Coming November 19" note for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. That is the separate 34-track record covered in our GTA 6 soundtrack album article.

Can you listen to the radio on foot in GTA 6?

Yes, according to Kotaku. Its October 8, 2026 report on the Music page says that, for the first time in the series, players can listen to these and other stations on foot through Jason and Lucia's phones. Kotaku also reports a selection of on-demand podcasts that can play on foot or in a car.

Rockstar's page uses the words radio and podcasts but does not spell out the phone mechanic in text we could read. So treat the on-foot detail as Kotaku's reporting of Rockstar's material, not as a quote from the page. Paste Magazine, also on October 8, described phone listening for both leads as a series first, which matches Kotaku.

Which songs are on the GTA 6 radio stations?

Only the preview tracks on the Music page, and no full list exists. Kotaku named three of them in its report: "Electric Feel" by MGMT, "Raining Blood" by Slayer, and "Don't Come Home a Drinkin'" by Loretta Lynn. Those fit Flash FM, The Chamber and Back Country respectively.

There is no official tracklist for any station, and Rockstar has not said how many songs each carries. Any site publishing a complete GTA VI station tracklist today is working from material Rockstar has not confirmed.

Who are the real DJs behind the GTA 6 stations?

The Rockstar page uses host names only and never ties a host to a real-world artist. The real-world identities come from outlet reporting, so we attribute them. Kotaku, citing Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, reports that Flash FM's Robyn is the Swedish pop artist Robyn, that The Chamber's DJ Kerry and DJ Tom are Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer, and that Cocoteo's hosts are Bad Bunny and RaiNao. Kotaku also reports Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen as the Back Country hosts, Trick Daddy and Trina on Dirty South Classics, and Burna Boy on Afro Bank FM.

Rockstar's page does not link any host to those artists. Morgan Wallen's name does appear on the page, but only as the artist of an Album single, not next to Back Country. The official line is the character names above; the celebrity angle is Kotaku's and the music press's reporting as of October 8, 2026.

How many radio stations will GTA 6 have in total?

Nobody outside Rockstar knows. The Music page names six and says the range runs from classic rock to talk radio, which means at least eight distinct formats are implied, but no number is given. Kotaku's report says plainly that these are not all the stations.

Rockstar has not confirmed any station outside the six above, and names can change before launch, so we are not printing station names from unconfirmed sources.

The game itself is still set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, per Rockstar's Newswire; see our GTA 6 release date page.

Is there a GTA 6 cheat to unlock radio stations or songs?

No. Rockstar has published nothing about cheats of any kind for GTA VI, and VI Cheats has verified no GTA VI code, including anything that unlocks a station or a song. Codes circulating online that claim to do so are made up. Our guide to fake GTA 6 cheat codes explains how to spot them, and the GTA 6 cheats hub lists exactly what is and is not verified.

As labelled precedent only: GTA V had no radio or song cheat either. Its list covered vehicles, weapons, weather and player effects, which is GTA V behaviour and says nothing about VI.

What we still do not know about GTA 6 radio

The gaps, as of October 9, 2026:

  • The total station count. Six named, two more formats implied, no number.
  • The names of the classic rock and talk radio stations.
  • Any full tracklist for any station.
  • Which podcasts exist, how many, and who hosts them.
  • Whether the phone-radio feature has any limits, such as during missions.

We will update this article when Rockstar's page changes.

How many GTA 6 radio stations have been confirmed?

Six, as of October 9, 2026: Cocoteo, Back Country, Afro Bank FM, The Chamber, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics. Rockstar's Music page lists them as hand-picked stations; its classic rock to talk radio line implies more, and Kotaku reports these are not all of them.

Is Flash FM returning in GTA 6?

Yes. Rockstar's Music page lists Flash FM as a pop station hosted by Robyn and Alex and calls it a Vice City institution. The original Flash FM played in GTA Vice City.

Can you listen to GTA 6 radio while walking?

Kotaku reports that players can listen to radio stations on foot through Jason and Lucia's phones, a first for the series, and that on-demand podcasts work on foot or in a car. Rockstar's page confirms radio and podcasts but we could not read the phone detail in its own text.

Is the GTA 6 album the same as the radio stations?

No. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is a separate 34-track release due November 19. The radio stations play licensed songs from many artists and are a different part of the game's music.

Is there a GTA 6 radio station cheat code?

No. Rockstar has published no GTA VI cheats, and VI Cheats has verified none. Any code that claims to unlock stations or songs is fake.
