Rockstar Games has not announced an online mode for Grand Theft Auto VI, so there are no GTA 6 online cheats to list, verify, or warn you about. Every site that hands you a table of them is describing a mode, a platform, and a set of codes that do not exist.
That is the answer. What follows is the evidence, plus the part most cheat pages skip: what Rockstar does about cheating in Grand Theft Auto Online, a Rockstar online service with a published ban policy.
Has Rockstar announced an online mode for GTA 6?
No. The Rockstar Newswire post announcing pre-orders, dated June 24, 2026, describes the game as "a single player experience" launching November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. The Take-Two press release published the same day uses the same framing.
That is not a promise that an online mode will never exist, and Rockstar has said nothing in either direction. But checked on September 16, 2026, the official page at rockstargames.com/VI covers the date, the two platforms, the editions and the pre-order bonus. Nowhere on it is an online mode named, or a window for one given.
So the search phrase stacks two unknowns. It asks what the cheats are in a mode that has not been announced, and Rockstar has published nothing about either one. We track what Rockstar currently lists in our running note on the release date and platforms.
Did cheats ever work in GTA Online?
No, and this part does have sources. PC Gamer's GTA V cheats reference, last updated July 1, 2026, says none of the cheats it lists are available in GTA Online. In GTA V those codes are a Story Mode feature. What happens if you enter one in the online game is not something PC Gamer describes, and we have not tested it ourselves.
That is GTA V behaviour, documented for GTA V, and it is not a forecast for anything in GTA VI.
What does Rockstar do to people who cheat in its online games?
The real risk is here, and it has nothing to do with typing a code in single player. Rockstar Support's "Rockstar Games Online Suspension and Ban Policy", last updated February 24, 2026, describes account actions triggered by breaking the Community Guidelines or the Terms of Service. A suspension can reset a character along with the progress, property, and inventory attached to it. A ban takes effect immediately, has no expiration date, and cuts off access to Rockstar's online services, with characters, progress, property, inventory, and virtual currency becoming inaccessible and possibly reset.
Rockstar's Community Guidelines are more specific than the ban policy: they prohibit cheats, mod menus, unauthorized mods and hacks in its online titles. The one Rockstar support article about GTA V cheat codes covers saving, achievements and how cheats switch off. It says nothing about accounts, suspensions or bans.
Modifying a live online service is an account problem. That is a different thing from using a code the game ships with, and Rockstar has not treated the two the same way in anything it has published. VI Cheats is an independent fan publication and is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive; the policies above are Rockstar's, quoted from Rockstar's own pages.
What the biggest GTA 6 online cheats pages actually say
GTABase's GTA 6 PC cheats page, read September 17, 2026, answers the multiplayer question head on and tells readers the GTA 6 PC cheats cannot be used in online multiplayer. That confident sentence rests on three things that do not exist: a PC version Rockstar has never announced, an online mode Rockstar has never announced, and a list of codes nobody has. Further down, the same page admits the official list is not known. The hedge is buried in the body. The headline is what gets indexed.
GTA BOOM is straighter about it, printing a count of zero confirmed codes while still calling cheats almost certain. Zero is the accurate number. Everything past it is guessing.
Rockstar has published nothing about cheats in Grand Theft Auto VI - no code, no entry method, and no statement either way about whether the game will have them. We checked the official game page, the Newswire posts from Trailer 1 through the Extended Look article of August 27, 2026, and the whole GTA VI support knowledge base, on September 16, 2026, and found nothing. That is why our reference list of GTA V effects carries a GTA V badge on every row, and why we wrote up how that labelling decision was made.
Why this site will not cover mod menus or money generators
VI Cheats does not link to or host mod menus, money generators, account hacks, aimbots or trainers, and does not point readers at where to find them. Single-player intent only, the same line we drew in what can and cannot be verified about a GTA 6 money cheat. There are two reasons for it.
The first is the enforcement above. Tools like that exist to modify a live online service, which is the conduct Rockstar's Community Guidelines prohibit. The second is malware. McAfee's gaming-scam roundup of August 12, 2026 lists cheats, mods, and trainers as a standing scam category, spread through Discord, YouTube descriptions, and file-sharing sites, and tells readers to avoid executables from unknown sources. Malwarebytes documented a fake GTA VI page on September 1, 2026 that mixed genuinely accurate release facts with a cryptocurrency wallet drainer. The accurate details are camouflage for the payload.
What would change this page
Any of the following, and it gets rewritten the same week. Rockstar announcing an online mode for Grand Theft Auto VI and naming it. Rockstar publishing anything at all about cheat support, on any platform. Players reproducing effects in the shipped game from November 19, 2026, which we could then check ourselves against a retail copy.
Until one of those happens there is nothing here to update.
Common questions
Will GTA 6 have an online mode?
Rockstar has not announced one. Its June 24, 2026 pre-order post calls Grand Theft Auto VI a single player experience, and the official product page checked on September 16, 2026 names no multiplayer component. Rockstar has also never said an online mode will not arrive later. Both directions are unsourced.
Can cheats get your Rockstar account banned?
Rockstar's suspension and ban policy, last updated February 24, 2026, covers violations of the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service on its online services, and bans there are immediate and carry no expiration date. Rockstar's Community Guidelines name cheats and mod menus in its online titles as prohibited. Single-player codes in a game that ships with them are a separate matter.
Is there a GTA 6 online cheats list for PS5 or Xbox?
No genuine one. Rockstar has published nothing about cheats in Grand Theft Auto VI for any platform, and the game does not release until November 19, 2026. Any table you find today was written by extrapolating from GTA V or by inventing entries outright.
Did GTA 5 story mode cheats ever work in GTA Online?
No. PC Gamer's GTA V cheats reference, last updated July 1, 2026, says none of the cheats it lists are available in GTA Online. Those codes are a Story Mode feature of GTA V, and GTA V is the only game they describe.
