There are no GTA 6 cheat codes PS4 owners can enter. Two separate facts sit behind that. There is no PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto VI, and Rockstar has published nothing about cheats in the game on any platform. Rockstar's official game page at rockstargames.com/VI, read September 16, 2026, lists exactly two platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S, with PS5 flagged "Plays Best On."

Is GTA 6 coming to PS4 or Xbox One?

No such version has been announced. Rockstar Support's article "Grand Theft Auto VI Platforms, Editions, and Versions," last updated August 18, 2026, answers the platform question in one line: you can pre-order Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. The Take-Two press release of June 24, 2026 announcing pre-orders names the same two systems.

That is an absence, not a denial. Rockstar has never said a PS4 or Xbox One version will not happen; it has simply never named one, in any announcement, since December 4, 2023. The accurate sentence is "Rockstar has not announced a last-gen version," not "Rockstar ruled it out." Plenty of pages ranking here print the second. It reads more strongly, and it is not what the sources say.

Why do people still search for cheats on last-gen consoles?

Because GTA V taught them to. Per Wikipedia's Grand Theft Auto V entry, it arrived on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014, on PC on April 14, 2015, and on PS5 and Xbox Series hardware on March 15, 2022. Rockstar's Newswire post announcing the 2014 console release is titled "Grand Theft Auto V Release Dates and Exclusive Content Details for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC"; the PC date that post gave, January 27, 2015, moved twice before the game shipped.

Three console generations and a PC release, across nine years, for one game. GTA V ran on PS4 and Xbox One long after those consoles stopped being current, which is why the searches persist. Grand Theft Auto VI has been announced for two platforms, and both are current hardware.

What did PS4 and Xbox One actually get in GTA V?

The code lists skip this part. Inside GTA V, the cheat system was not identical across console generations.

Console cheats in GTA V come in two forms: button sequences entered during gameplay, and phone numbers dialled on the in-game mobile. PC Gamer's GTA V cheats page, last updated July 1, 2026, documents both. Max health and armor in GTA V is the PlayStation sequence O, L1, Triangle, R2, X, Square, O, Right, Square, L1, L1, L1, or the number 1-999-887-853 punched into the phone.

The phone half was not available everywhere. GTA BOOM's GTA V cheat list, updated August 20, 2026, puts it flatly: phone cheats work on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, the Xbox Series consoles and PC, but not on PS3 or Xbox 360. GTABase documents the same split and dates it, saying the phone cheats "were introduced with the Enhanced Edition of GTA 5 for PS4, Xbox One and PC." PC Gamer says the phone works whatever system you are playing on, and it is describing the versions still sold. Button sequences worked on the 2013 machines. The numbers you could dial arrived with the 2014 re-release and stayed.

That split ran along a hardware generation line, inside a single game. Even in an imaginary world where a last-gen Grand Theft Auto VI existed, a sequence lifted from a PS4 game would be a guess, not a code.

What are the "gta 6 cheat codes ps4" pages actually printing?

Reading the pages that rank for that phrase on September 16, 2026, the pattern is consistent. They list button sequences under headings for vehicles, money, weapons and invincibility. The sequences are not invented. They are GTA V's. PC Gamer lists the GTA V PlayStation invincibility cheat as Right, X, Right, Left, Right, R1, Right, Left, X, Triangle, under the PC cheat word PAINKILLER, and that is the sort of entry these pages carry beneath a GTA 6 heading.

That sequence is not a Grand Theft Auto VI code. It has circulated since GTA V shipped in 2013, and a new heading does not change what it is.

The money entries are worse, because they were not even borrowed correctly. These pages routinely print a money cheat as a button sequence. GTA V has never had a money cheat, on any platform or generation. PC Gamer's answer under its own heading "Is there a GTA 5 money cheat?" is: "No, there is no money cheat for GTA 5 - not even in singleplayer." So the lists mix real GTA V sequences with a cheat GTA V never had. More on that in what can actually be verified about a GTA VI money cheat.

Most of these pages carry no publication date. Some warn that cheats disable trophies for the session. That warning describes GTA V. Rockstar's support article on GTA V cheats, last updated April 28, 2024, says saving is allowed while achievements are temporarily disabled.

Has Rockstar said anything at all about GTA VI cheats?

No. Checked September 16, 2026: rockstargames.com/VI has no cheats section. The Newswire's Grand Theft Auto VI posts, from Trailer 1 in December 2023 through the Extended Look article of August 27, 2026, cover trailers, the date and pre-orders, and none mention cheats. The support hub at support.rockstargames.com/VI holds four articles, all about platforms, editions and pre-orders.

No code, no entry method, no statement that cheats will be in the game and none that they will not. Our reference list of 20 GTA V cheat effects with PS5 and Xbox sequences exists on those terms: every entry badged as GTA V and unverified for Grand Theft Auto VI. The labels are explained in why our cheat reference is labelled GTA V.

If you only own a PS4 or Xbox One, what happens on launch day?

Nothing, on that console. Grand Theft Auto VI is dated Thursday, November 19, 2026 on Rockstar's page, at $79.99 Standard and $99.99 Ultimate per Take-Two's release of June 24, 2026. There is no disc for an older machine either: Rockstar Support states the physical version "will contain a download code" and "a disc will not be included in the box." Pre-load opens November 12. Full dates on our GTA VI release date page.

Last-gen owners also get the worst of what this search returns. Malwarebytes reported on August 24, 2026 that sites impersonating Rockstar and advertising a GTA 6 demo were serving gta6_installer.exe, an information stealer, and noted the file was 1.1 MB: "That is nowhere near enough to contain a modern AAA game." McAfee's scam roundup of August 12, 2026 lists cheats, mods and trainers as a standing category of bait. There is nothing to download for a PS4.

Will GTA 6 come to PS4 or Xbox One later?

Nobody outside Rockstar knows, and it has said nothing either way. As of September 16, 2026 the only platforms it has ever named for the game are PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series consoles. Treat any quoted last-gen date as a guess.

Do GTA 5 phone cheats work on PS3 and Xbox 360?

No. GTA BOOM's cheat list, updated August 20, 2026, states that phone cheats work on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, the Xbox Series consoles and PC, but not on PS3 or Xbox 360. GTABase says the same and ties the phone cheats to the 2014 Enhanced Edition. Button-sequence cheats did work on those 2013 machines.

Why do GTA 6 cheat pages list PS4 button combinations?

Because the sequences were copied from GTA V, where they are real, and given a new heading. The pages we read present GTA V PlayStation sequences as Grand Theft Auto VI codes, next to a money cheat that never existed in GTA V. A tidy table is not evidence that anything in it was tested.

Is there a GTA 6 PS4 download anywhere?

No. Rockstar sells Grand Theft Auto VI through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store and retailers, for PS5 and Xbox Series only, with pre-loading from November 12, 2026. Malwarebytes and Cybernews documented fake demos, a fake leaked copy and a fake PC ISO across August and September 2026, carrying an infostealer, a crypto wallet drainer and an attempt to shut down security software. A last-gen build would be the same shape of offer: a file that cannot exist, sold anyway.
